Museums in Lviv

Museums in Lviv are not only about their collections but also about the buildings themselves: former monasteries, banks and palaces in the historic centre. Here we cover what to see in a particular museum, where it is located and what to notice beyond the exhibition.

For example, the Museum of Ethnography and Arts and Crafts occupies the former Galician Savings Bank on Svobody Avenue, while the Museum of the History of Religion is housed in the former Dominican monastery, a few minutes from Rynok Square. New museums are added to this section over time.
